Helping Hands Health Community Clinic. We are a volunteer primary care clinic that serves Rockdale,Newton,Dekalb and Metro Atlanta Georgia. We Serve uninsured and under-served eight times a month. The lack of health insurance for millions of Americans has put a huge strain on families especially those out of work and trying to be reemployed. Helping Hands Clinic provides the basic medical care needed for the uninsured, including work and school physicals, TB testing, Primary Care,Non Emergency Care, Social Services, Counseling, Prescription Assistance laboratory, health education. Our main goal is help and educate our community about Health initiative. We serve the uninsured and under-served who are at or below the 200% Federal Poverty Guideline.
Helping Hands Clinic is able to return many unemployed back to work and back to school with the services of job listings, our relationship with Jobs and Family Services, work and school physicals. We are able to provide patients not only acute short term care but also the ongoing care needed for keeping chronic care patients stabilized as we provide.
We offer Free Diabetic and Hypertension Screening,Mammograms Voucher some Labs training on activities and actions to prevent chronic disease. We are health care provider just giving back to our local communities from services provide by License professional Doctor’s,Nurses,Lab Tech,CNA,MA,PA’s and Adminstration. Our patient have said to us that they feel they received more and better care from our volunteer doctors. Now we have served over seven thousands patient’s since 2005. We have expanded our volunteer base to over 150 volunteer doctors, nurses,Lab Tech,Ma’s,CNA’s Nurse practitioners, PA’s Interns from Georgia State,Clayton State, Mercer Universities and other Clinicial Institute Community College students in the schools of pharmacy, medicine, social work and nursing, pharmacists. Our volunteers come through our 70 churches, partnering Universities and schools and other community groups. Our volunteers are trained onsite with mentors in their specialty area.
Our clinic is located in South of Rockdale County. We have three completed exam room and full completed onsite Limited Lab we 3000 square feet. Two rooms are permanent space for administrative offices and storage.
Materials and Equipment: Majority of our laboratory testing is drawn at the clinic and processed by our partnering with our local hospital.
Paid Staff: We have two part time paid bi-weekly 20 hour a week Director and Administrative Assistant/fundraiser. Key Partners our most vital partners are our Local Community Medical Center,United Way,Kaiser Permanente, Medishare,Local Business,Local Colleges and University,Non-Profits Agency.
HHOC have seven board members with three Advisory members.
HHOC funding model the annual budget of Helping Hands is $125,000. Our funding is covered by in-kind donations from our communities donations,small community grants and small fundraiser. Our in-kind donations of volunteer services or equipment are not included but would triple that budgeted amount. For
every dollar we receive we provide $10 worth of service. Our major expenses are centered around staff which are the equivalent of two part time (30%),phone, food for the volunteers, snacks for patients, promotional materials,
fundraising and other consumables (70%).

We have promotional information at all hospital emergency rooms and mental health centers. We have information at most churches and other social service agencies.Our director does many public appearances about the clinic and is involved in many community organizations representing the clinic in leadership roles.
